Flint knappers festival

New postby satchmo » Tue Apr 28, 2009 3:38 pm

Delila and I went to the knappers festival in Cartersville Ga sat afternoon.
We saw alot of awesome work, these folks are good.
We ran up on plenty of bow makers too. Delila found a 33 lb hicory bow she fell in love with so it is home with us now.
Lots of nice folks.
Here are a couple of pictures and man they don't do this stuff justice at all.

pretty cool stuff.
I went to a similar event here is Mo a few ears ago.
they had folks there making blacksmith stuff, pottery, quilts, ect.
But also some making animal skin cloths, bow& Arrows, indian style jewlery.
they were set up in Tee Pee's and Tents. looked like some trading post back from the pioneer days.
